What Must the Chicago Blackhawks Do to Become an Elite Team in 2013

The season has only just begun, but the Chicago Blackhawks have been able to come flying out of the gates like no other team in the NHL. Their 6-0 start is the best ever in team history.

It would seem like the Blackhawks are the cream of the crop in the NHL, but that can change just as quickly. There are still things the team must do to gain respect from the rest of the league and solidify themselves as a truly elite team.

One of these things is to find a solid No. 1 goaltender. 

Right now it seems like Corey Crawford has locked that spot up with his play. He has gone 5-0 and has been, on numerous occasions, the reason why the team has been able to hold onto their wins.

Crawford was just named by the NHL as the league's second star for his play during the first week of action.

However, he still has to prove he can keep that play up for a whole season, let alone be able to handle himself once everyone gets back into tip-top shape. Some players may still be off their games, but when they return to full form, Crawford has to be able to handle the extra attack.
