What Fernando Pisani Will Do for the Chicago Blackhawks

Fernando Pisani (LW) has always been a favorite player of mine. Ever since he entered the league in the 2002-03 NHL season, I've always followed him closely. As an avid fan of Pisani, I can say that he will do wonders for the Blackhawks who have a good chance at winning the cup again.

Just watch what Fernando can do.



In that video, he becomes the only person to score a shorthanded overtime goal in Stanley Cup Finals history.

He's also gone through a few medical issues as well. Pisani suffers from ulcerative colitis, a form of inflammatory bowel disease. However, he has worked hard and (obviously) still plays to this day.



Fernando Pisani won't make up for the scoring that Chicago lost to their salary cap woes, but he will be a very noticeable veteran presence on Chicago's bottom-six. He is a very good two-way player that plays with his heart on his sleeve.

He will definitely be a great replacement (presence-wise) for John Madden (C) who signed with the Minnesota Wild earlier in the offseason.
