Ted Leonsis, majority owner of the Washington Capitals, is one of the most visible owners in the National Hockey League.
He regularly posts his opinion on the team on his website and is honest in his opinion. His latest post was entitled, "It Isn't Them It's Us."
The post comes one day after the Caps dropped two games in a row to the Boston Bruins. Some members of the Caps claimed that they were not responsible for the loss, but that it was due to the goaltending of Bruins netminder Tim Thomas.
Thomas faced 76 shots and stopped all but two in the home-and-home series with the Caps.
Capitals winger Mike Knuble said, "His lateral movement was just phenomenal. He was a huge part of this game."
Rookie winger Marcus Johnansson, who scored one of the two goals against Thomas added, "I think we did a lot of stuff right to get goals but he was always there to stop them. That's the way it is sometimes; he had a great day."
Leonsis had a different, more honest assessment of his team's play.
