Washington Capitals’ Image Is Tarnished by Steroid Investigation

The Washington Capitals have been in the news a lot lately. Fortunately for the Caps, it's because they've had a lot of wins.  They've been breaking records left and right, and are considered one of the front-runners for the Stanley Cup this year.

Tonight, that good press changed.

The Washington Post reported that Dr. Douglas Owen Nagel, a Washington-area chiropractor with ties to the team, is being investigated for alleged charges of steroid possession. 

While the Capitals maintain that no players are being investigated and that there is no evidence of any of the athletes having taken the drugs, the article is powerful in terms of publicity.

The thing that has fans worried is that Dr. Nagel allegedly bragged about supplying drugs to some of the high-profile athletes he worked with. 

As a fan, one of the worst things with the potential to ruin a great season is the possibility that your team had some extra help.

However, I'm going to put my faith in the Caps.
