Wal-Mart Still Isn’t Rocking The Red, But Target Finally Is

Back in February I wrote an article about how my local Wal-Mart in Virginia carried all kinds of Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New York Yankee merchandise to put a sporting goods store out of business.

What they didnt' carry was any Washington Capitals items.  I urged them to start Rocking the Red so I could buy a hat and a few shirts for my son without having to take out a second mortgage on my house.

Well the Stanley Cup Playoffs are well underway and still no Capitals merchandise to be found.  Still plenty of Dallas Cowboys crap though.

However one massive chain hopped on the band wagon.  Target, they've decided they're not going to let all those cheap people like me go without.  Now they will petal there odd looking Caps jerseys for a fraction of what the authentic ones cost.

So Target, I tip my cap to you for finally hoping on the bandwagon, and Wal-Mart I shake my head in disgust.
