Vincent Lecavalier, who has scored 395 goals in 1,083 career NHL games, will set his sights on reaching the 400-goal mark once the Philadelphia Flyers return to action upon completion of the ongoing Sochi Olympic Games.
With 23 games left on the Flyers' regular season slate, it's a mark that Lecavalier has a good shot to hit before the close of the NHL campaign, given his current scoring pace. To date, the 33-year-old forward—who represented Canada at the 2006 Olympics in Turin—has scored 12 goals and 23 points in 46 games.
In addition to zeroing in on 400 goals, the 6′4″, 215-pound forward is also just three points shy of becoming the 100th player in league history to record 900 points.
After spending the first 14 seasons of his productive NHL career in a Tampa Bay uniform, Lecavalier—who was named the Lightning's captain prior to the 2008-09 season—had his contract bought out by the team following the 2012-13 campaign.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 1998 NHL Entry draft then proceeded to ink a multi-year deal with the Flyers this past July.
