Updated Look at Stanley Cup Playoff Race in Final Week of 2013 NHL Season

As the 2013 NHL season enters its final week, there are still several seeds and playoff spots up for grabs.

In the East, there's only one team outside the top eight that hasn't been eliminated from the playoff race, but many of the seeds probably won't be decided until the final day of the season.

While the top four teams in the East are unlikely to fall any lower in the standings, the bottom four spots could be occupied in a number of different ways. Only three points separate the Toronto Maple Leafs in fifth place and the New York Rangers in eighth place.

Out West, there are three teams outside the top eight still in the playoff hunt (Detroit Red Wings, Dallas Stars and Phoenix Coyotes), but they'll need a near-perfect finish to the season in order to clinch a postseason berth. There aren't any exciting division title races in the West, but each of the final five seeds could change depending on the outcomes of this week's games.
