Tyler-Taylor Tally: Where Bruins’ Seguin and Oilers’ Hall Stand

After Tyler Seguin beat Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist with a laser beam, the Bruins rookie had four goals and three assists in 16 games. He has spent time on the power play and also on the third and fourth lines.

Seguin has shown signs of brilliance as a rookie. His moves have left Bruins fans in awe early on. The upside for Seguin is very high, but he still has a lot to learn, especially in the defensive zone. He still needs to work on this aspect of the game, which will come with experience.

With so much talent on the Bruins, Seguin doesn’t have to be the man. Well, not yet.

What about Taylor Hall, who was selected before Tyler Seguin, as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft?

How has Hall held up in the hockey hotbed of Edmonton, Alberta?

After 16 games, Hall, like Seguin, has seven points (three goals and four assists). However, Hall has a -7 plus/minus thus far on the young season, while Seguin is just a -1. Of course, this stat is a reflection of their teams.
