Twas the week before Christmas and all the through League,
Parody was everywhere, adding to the intrigue.

Avalanche and Kings surprise us this year, whilst Lightning and Hurricanes, bring up the rear.

Super Saturdays and Winter Classics headline the year's events, there is even a chance the Coyotes will get out of their mess.

Brodeur and Crosby are still the key players, they are sure to lead Canada, which does no other countries any favors.

There’s Tukka and Penner and Horton—who you know could hear a who—there’s even that scrooge Heatley and a Peverley, too!

There’s Ovi and Kovi and Marty and Mikko, they thrill us each night and the fans yell out Neat-o!

When it’s time for a Miller, to Buffalo we go, here’s hoping the Winter Classic is not played in the snow.

The Olympics are coming, no All-Stars this year, but with gold medals on the line, I am sure NHL fans will still cheer.

The most festive players would be Kane and Green, both players play on teams that just have to be seen.
