Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Carolina Hurricanes: Game Day Notes

The Maple Leafs finally made it back to Toronto today after spending a disastrous couple of days in Newark plagued by a Northeast blizzard.

Tonight they welcome the well-rested Carolina Hurricanes, who arrived in Toronto yesterday. Here are some pregame notes: 

According to Ron Wilson, Tim Brent is under the weather and will not play tonight. The Leafs recalled forward Joey Crabb from the Toronto Marlies to replace Brent. 

Jonas Gustavsson will start his fourth consecutive game tonight for the Leafs while Brett Lebda will be a healthy scratch. 

 

Here is Toronto's lineup tonight: 

First Line: MacArthur - Grabovski - Kulemin

Second Line: Crabb - Bozak - Kessel 

Third Line: Versteeg - Mitchell - Armstrong

Fourth Line: Sjostrom - Kadri - Orr

 

D Pair 1: Kaberle - Schenn

D Pair 2: Beauchemin - Phaneuf

D Pair 3: Gunnarsson - Komisarek 

Goalie: Jonas Gustavsson 

Leafs fans will probably be enraged because Nazem Kadri will play on the fourth line.
