Toronto Maple Leafs Add More Depth In Goal

This just in, Brian Burke has once again struck gold in net. The Leafs' general manager has reportedly signed free agent college star Ben Scrivens to a one year entry level deal.

Scivens just finished his fourth season with the BigRed (Cornell University), compiling a 21-9-4 record and an impressive .934 save percentage.

This signing adds to an already deep position for the Leafs and may give Burke even more leverage as he struggles to address potential offensive shortcomings this offseason.

It is common knowledge that the Leafs are still looking for at least one top-six forward and possibly a proven number one center.

In a radio interview yesterday on the Fan 590, assistant Maple Leafs GM Dave Nonis hinted that they were looking to add this kind of depth.

He also indicated that he, Brian Burke and the rest of their staff will be busy until after July 1st, not making for a lot of off-time this offseason.
