Top Washington Capitals of This Decade

The Capitals started out as a strong team in the beginning of this decade. They were a playoff team all the way until the stripped their team down to rebuild towards the future during the 2003-2004 season. That season saw a lot of long time players such as Peter Bondra and Sergei Gonchar leave, along with superstar Jarmior Jagr, and at the time of his trade League leader in points Robert Lang. Then they went through a dark time with rebuilding but gather pieces that have made them a legitimate Cup contender a la Ovechkin.
