Tomas Kaberle to New Jersey: What’s the Return?

As most of you have probably read, or heard, the New York Post reported today that the New Jersey Devils are putting the push on to land Tomas Kaberle.

The report actually described Lamoriello and the Devils as the strongest suitors for the Leafs defenseman.

I take this report seriously for a few reasons:

Burke and Lamoriello have a history The Devils are a great fit for Kaberle Kaberle will remain in the East Again, Burke and Lamoriello are pals So if we're to take this seriously, what should the Leafs be expecting coming back? Or maybe an even better question is; what are the Devils offering? From a personal standpoint, my main target would be Travis Zajac. With 67 points this past season, and a +33 and +22 respectively over the last two campaigns, it's tough to go wrong with a player like Zajac. He's also only 25 years old. Burke will look for a first-round pick that the Devils don't have. They do, however, hold the No. 38 pick in the second round. Not too shabby.
