Three Reasons the Canucks Will Make the Playoffs

It's one of the things that I've been talking about since the beginning of the year. Even though the Canucks have had a bad start to their year, I'm sure that they'll still make the playoffs.

 

1) Strong Defense

The Vancouver Canucks have a much stronger defense then the stats show. So far, they are right in the middle of the NHL with how many goals they've let in, but I think that's going to change.

At the beginning of the season, Roberto Luongo was in a slump. In my opinion, he's one of the best goalies in the league, and recently he's started showing it. He only allowed one goal against the Blackhawks and two goals against the Avs in both games he's played against them.

He's still having a bad game every once in a while, but eventually he'll start playing better, and the Canucks will start winning because of it.

Luongo is also being helped out by a strong defense with Mathieu Schneider, Sami Salo, Kevin Bieksa, and Willie Mitchell—all players that know the game and can keep the puck out of the zone.
