Tallon Made Mistakes But You Can’t Deny the Impact He Had On the Hawks

It comes as no surprise to see former Blackhawk general manager, Dale Tallon, with another job, doing the same thing he did here in Chicago.

This time it's with the Florida Panthers. 

I am happy for Tallon. He didn't get enough credit for the team he helped build. A team that he put together, that now has a great chance at winning a Stanley Cup. Sure, criticize him for paying Cristobal Huet and Brian Campbell too much money, but the positive impact Tallon has made to the Hawks, no doubt, weigh over the negatives. 

Tallon has drafted Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, and also Niklas Hjarmarsson, while also acquiring Patrick Sharp, Marian Hossa, Antti Niemi, Kris Versteeg, Ben Eager, Andrew Ladd, Tomas Kopecky, John Madden, Cristobal Huet, Jordan Hendry, Brent Sopel, and Brian Campbell. 

He also helped bring in Adam Bursih, Dustin Byfuglien, Troy Brouwer, and Dave Bolland. 

Look at all those names, and look at the Hawks now. Every one of those players contribute to the team's chances. Every one of those is valuable talent to the Hawks, and what makes them the m ...
