Swamp Monster Deal: Tomas Kaberle To the Devils?

The New York Post is reporting that the Devils are among the strongest bidders for Kaberle this offseason.

Kaberle, who just may be the biggest trade commodity this offseason, is scheduled to make 4.25 million dollars in the final year of his contract; a contract which is extremely team friendly.

Of course, the Leafs have been targeting a first round pick in return due to the Phil Kessel fiasco, losing both first round picks this year and next, but the trouble is that New Jersey does not own a first round pick. That pick was traded along with Johnny Oduya, Niklas Bergfors, and prospect center and World Junior Team Captain Patrice Cormier for sniper Ilya Kovalchuk.

I, for one, have ZERO interest in trading with the Devils unless I'd be getting back the likes of Travis Zajac, Paul Martin, or Mattias Tedenby. 

By my deduction, I really don't see a deal happening with Jersey. They just don't have the necessary pieces to garner any attention from my eyes. 

I would also like to give a high five out to Eklund, who broke that Jersey had lots of interest about two weeks ago, and now a paper like the New York Post picks ...
