The Philadelphia Flyers will be without the services of goaltender Steve Mason for possibly the next couple of weeks.
General manager Ron Hextall announced on Sunday that Mason is suffering from a lower-body injury:
Hextall also said that the current injury is not related to the other ailments that have impacted the goaltender this season, via Randy Miller of NJ.com:
The 26-year-old has appeared in 29 games this year, compiling a record of 8-12-6. He ranks 20th in goals-against average (2.46) but 11th in save percentage (.920), according to NHL.com.
