Cedric Paquette’s goal late in the third period lifted the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 3-2 road win over the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday night at the United Center.

The Lightning lead the best-of-seven series 2-1 with Game 4 set for Wednesday night in Chicago.

Paquette’s goal was his third of the playoffs, and it ensured that a tremendous individual effort from Lightning netminder Ben Bishop wouldn’t go to waste.

Bishop, who left the game late in the third period on Saturday night for undisclosed reasons and was a game-time decision tonight showed few ill effects from whatever troubled him.

He was under siege in the first and third periods, stopping 36-of-38 shots in the win.

Ryan Callahan and Brad Richards traded goals in the first period, and the game remained knotted at one apiece heading into the final 20 minutes after a scoreless second.

Brandon Saad gave the Blackhawks the advantage early in the third, but Ondrej Palat stunned the crowd by equalizing just 13 ...
