Sidney Crosby: Injured Pittsburgh Penguins Star Cleared for Contact

While speaking to reporters today after Penguins practice, Sidney Crosby said that he has been cleared for contact.

Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review broke the news through his Twitter feed with quotes from Crosby.

Crosby: "The big step is contact. Hopefully, I can do that for a few days and get back out there."

Crosby said that he could play, but only if there are no setbacks.

This is the most news that Crosby has given about his return to the Penguins since he suffered concussion-like symptoms against the Bruins on December 5. Back then, Crosby said the relapse didn’t send him back to square one but that it could be a while before he'd play again.
