Should the Toronto Maple Leafs Trade Centre Nazem Kadri?

Nazem Kadri is one of the more polarizing Toronto Maple Leafs. Some fans believe he's an underrated asset, while others see him as an underachieving centre.

Kadri was sent home for being late to a pre-practice meeting this past weekend.


The Canadian Press (h/t CBC.ca) reports that the team has suspended the talented yet mercurial centre for the next two games.



It has never been easy for Kadri in Toronto, as he's been a focal point for several seasons now in the media centre of hockey. The Leafs have rarely played high-quality hockey over his tenure.

He was highly touted coming out of junior and was drafted by the Maple Leafs as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2009 NHL draft. His talent has rarely been questioned. While not the best skater in the league, he's got exceptional vision and a great set of hands.

He's posted 149 points in 241 NHL games with linemates rarely able to match his prodigious offensive talents. The 24-year-old broke out in the lockout-shortened 2013 campaign, earning 44 points in 48 games.
