Semyon Varlamov Charged with Third-Degree Assault on Girlfriend

Colorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov has been formally charged with third-degree assault stemming from a domestic violence incident that took place with his girlfriend on Oct. 28 at their home, according to the Denver district attorney's office.

Varlamov was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in a Denver court on Dec. 2

The NHL released a statement via ESPN's Pierre LeBrun:
