San Jose Sharks: Winning Streak Reaches 5 Games, Point Streak at 10

In about 27 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, the San Jose Sharks exerted themselves as the team to beat in a Pacific Division full of playoff contenders, standing just a half-game behind the slumping Dallas Stars.

The Sharks have now run their winning streak to five games and are 9-0-1 in their last 10 after beating the Washington Capitals and Columbus Blue Jackets on back-to-back nights on the road.

They have now taken the first four games of their seven-game trip, bringing their road record to 17-9-3, which is 80 percentage points higher than their home record (13-10-3).

Three of those four wins have come against teams currently in the playoff picture, along with six out of the nine in the point streak. San Jose has two non-playoff teams coming up, the red-hot New Jersey Devils and the Florida Panthers, before finishing up against the team directly behind them, the Nashville Predators.
