The San Jose Sharks won their fourth consecutive Pacific Division title last year, and their sixth in the past nine seasons. However, with four of the division's five teams making the postseason (and Dallas, the fifth, finishing a mere two points out of the playoffs), the Sharks have their work cut out for them this year.
Their biggest competition looks to be within the state, as the Los Angeles Kings are trying to build on last year's success and the Anaheim Ducks are always a threat with Jonas Hiller on the ice.
So here are six things the Sharks can—and may need—to do to win the Pacific Division and cap a decade of dominance over their divisional rivals.
