Sabres vs. Hurricanes Game Postponed Due to Inclement Weather

The severe weather hitting a large portion of the country has been affecting plenty of people, and now it is even affecting professional hockey as the NHL game between the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes scheduled for Jan. 7 has been postponed.      

These teams were set to drop the puck at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday night at the First Niagara Center, but blizzard conditions will force the game to be played on another day.

This news was announced by the Sabres' official Twitter account:



According to the team's public relations account, it has been a long time since this type of move has been made:



Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News reports that a makeup date has not yet been announced but will be when it is confirmed:



Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official website points out that finding a date will be tough:
