Relax, Blackhawk Fans, Chicago Can Win With Marty Turco

The Blachawks signing Marty Turco, and thence releasing Antti Niemi, divided many Blackhawk fans. 

Some people thought the Hawks had made a mistake. Others tried to see the positive in getting a veteran goaltender. 

If you're one of those that are angry at the Hawks for letting Niemi go, you can't stay angry for long. 

When the Hawks decided to sign Turco, they knew what they were getting. Turco is a veteran goaltender. He's smart in the net, and can really be big there.

So the Hawks are replacing Niemi with a proven, three-time All-Star goaltender who has played in the playoffs a handful of times before. 

What they're not getting is an unproven nobody, of whom we don't know what he can offer.

There should be no need to panic or worry, Hawk fans. Turco is a good goaltender.

He will thrive under the coaching of Quenneville, the still stellar Hawk defense, and he will definitely get some help from the still potent Hawks' offense.  

The only question I have is, how long will Turco play with the Hawks?

He is currently signed to a one year $1. ...
