Tyler Johnson's pair of third-period goals lifted the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 5-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference playoff series on Friday night at Amelie Arena.

The Lighting lead the best-of-seven series 2-0 with Game 3 scheduled for Sunday night in Detroit.

Johnson finished the night with two goals and two assists to lift his team to victory in what was another hard fought, chippy contest between a pair of teams that have increasingly become bitter rivals over the past couple of seasons.

Nikita Kucherov and Brian Boyle also scored for the Bolts, who iced the game on Alex Killorn's empty netter with 2:42 to play.

Dylan Larkin netted his first career playoff goal for the Red Wings, and Brad Richards added what was at the time the tying goal early in the third, but it wasn't enough.
