Red Wings: Are They Finally Getting Healthy and Back On Track?

What is something every sports fan says about their team? We can could do it if we stay healthy. This is something Detroit Red Wings fans know all too well. Last year it looked bleak for the Red Wings to keep their 100-point season streak alive before getting healthy and capturing it in the last two weeks of the season. I mean there was even a time when they were the 10th seed looking in from the outside at the playoffs.

But that was last year...

Starting us off this year, the Wings were on a tear and looked like the team most of us grew up watching. Until the injury bug struck them again. Leading up to the All-Star break, there was a point in time when almost their whole starting two lines were on IR or listed as day-to-day and that break couldn't come fast enough for them.

Coming into the break, though, the Wings ended 6-3-1, not bad for a team with the injuries they have, but it is a little bit misleading as four of those wins came in OT and two of them coming in shootouts. The team just looked flat in many of them, showing little emotion.

Since the break, the Wings were 2-3, but have gotten back Pavel Datsyuk and Tomas Holmstrom. ...
