Ranking The Top 50 Prospects In The NHL

The National Hockey League season is only about six weeks away and this year's rookie class looks stronger than ever.

Overall it should be a great year for rookies and there is plenty of competition ahead for the calder trophy.

 

The quantity of quality that is being found and produced by NHL teams now-a-days is out-standing.

Most teams have a bunch of prospects that are top notch prospects today. This is a ranking of the current top 50 NHL prospects.

 

 

1. Taylor Hall, LW - Taylor Hall was selected First Overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He is certainly the best overall prospect right now and should play right away with Edmonton in the up-coming NHL season.

2. Alex Pietrangelo, D - Alex Pietrangelo holds the spot for the best Defensive prospect in the NHL. A member of the St.Louis Blues, Pietrangelo was drafted in 2008 but has yet to play a full season of the NHL. He is almost certain to make the team this season.
