Rangers Prospect Preview: Rookie Goalies Impress at Prospect Camp

In the previous two days I’ve written about Rangers' top prospects on offense, and defense. As the title reads, today I will preview a few rookie goaltenders in the Rangers organization.

Goaltending won’t be a huge need for the Rangers until Henrik Lundqvist retires, of course. But it would be nice to know who the Rangers have in their organization to take over after “King” Henrik is no longer a Ranger. Here I go…

3. G- Cam Talbot: The 6’3” 200-pound Caledonia, Ontario native was signed to an entry-level contract with the Rangers after his college season ended. Last season Talbot posted a 12-18-3 record for Alabama-Huntsville College. I don’t know much about Talbot, but from what I’ve read he’s a pretty good goaltender. Obviously he won’t be in the NHL for a while, but may play in the AHL next season for Hartford.
