Puking Referee Causes Stoppage in Lightning-Penguins Game

January 2nd, 2015 by Kyle Newport Leave a reply »

Friday night's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Pittsburgh Penguins had an unusual delay in the first period.

About 12 minutes in, the game had to be stopped after referee Mike Leggo vomited on the ice.

The players will probably want to avoid that area of the ice the rest of the night.

As a result of the illness he was battling, Leggo was unable to stay in the game.
