Philadelphia Flyers Trade Rumor: "Wheels Already in Motion" for "Major" Trade

By now, most of us have read that the Philadelphia Flyers are in the market for what appears to be a forward. The Flyers came close to nabbing Jamie Langenbrunner from New Jersey, but since that has fallen through the Flyers will choose to explore other options.

It seems almost certain at this point that come February 28, the Flyers will have a new face or two in the lineup. But at what cost? How much will the Flyers have to give up?

The Flyers have been fairly open and obvious that they are looking for something, but what that something is nobody knows yet for sure. They have scouted numerous teams, some of which include Chicago, Toronto and Edmonton, and continue to do so.

For about a week, I was convinced that the Flyers were strictly in the market for a forward, but in the past few days, it seems that may not exactly be the case.

According to Eklund from Hockeybuzz.com, "The Flyers are looking to fill a MAJOR need which is viewed as the only thing standing in their way by some key higher ups."
