Penguins vs. Bruins: How Pittsburgh Will Extend Winning Streak Tuesday

When the Boston Bruins travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Penguins, they will likely not have the odds in their favor. 

Playing for the second night in a row, Boston will be facing a Penguins team that has been on fire as of late. The Pens scored six goals against the Islanders last Sunday in their fourth straight win. 

It has been almost a year since the Bruins and Penguins squared off for a game in which Pittsburgh won 5-3 on the road.  

The Bruins surely won’t be easy opponents, as they have won their last three by a combined score of 10-4 and also boast one of the better defenses in the NHL. 

Sidney Crosby is playing some of the best hockey he’s played in a while; he has scored nine goals in the Penguins’ last five games and has tallied 11 assists in the same time. 

Crosby’s consistency with scoring has been a big reason why the Penguins have become one of the NHL’s most dominant teams at this point in the season. In fact, he leads the NHL in goals (45).
