Patrick Kane Reportedly Meets with Investigators in Sexual Assault Case

The investigation into allegations Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane raped a woman at his Hamburg, New York, home entered a new phase Monday as investigators reportedly met with the NHL superstar.  

According to Lou Michel and Tim Graham of the Buffalo News, Kane is believed to have sat down with a member of the Erie County District Attorney's office in the presence of his lawyer, Paul Cambria.

Per Michel, Graham and Dan Herbeck, the sexual assault allegations became public Aug. 6. Further details were released Aug. 9 when Michel and Herbeck reported the alleged victim accused the three-time Stanley Cup champion of taking her from a Buffalo nightclub to his home before raping her. It was also reported the woman had scratches and bite marks from the alleged incident.

Very little has been made public with regard to the potential charges Kane could be facing, but Scott Levin of WGRZ Buffalo recently offered some news in terms of a potential out-of-court settlement:
