Patrick Kane Grand Jury Hearing Expected to Be Rescheduled

The grand jury investigating Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane's alleged sexual assault will reportedly be rescheduled. 

Kane's attorney, Paul Cambria, told Jared S. Hopkins and Stacy St. Clair of the Chicago Tribune that the New York grand jury is "expected" to continue the investigation soon. 

On Sept. 8, citing two sources, Lou Michel of the Buffalo News reported the investigation may have been delayed because of "the possibility of ongoing settlement talks between attorneys for Kane and the alleged victim."   

Cambria said in the report he was not the one who requested the postponement of the original grand jury investigation. 

"We were informed that it (the grand jury) was rescheduled," Cambria told the Chicago Tribune.

The Buffalo News' Dan Herbeck and Tim Graham reported on Aug. 9 that Kane was the target of an investigation into allegations of sexual assault by a woman who lives in Buffalo.
