Patrice Bergeron Injury: Updates on Bruins Center’s Lower Body and Return

Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron has been out of the lineup as he recovers from a lower-body injury. It is uncertain when he will return to action.

Latest on Bergeron's Playing Status Sunday, Oct. 16 Bruins head coach Claude Julien told reporters Bergeron is skating in Boston, but his status is to be determined for Monday's game against the Winnipeg Jets.

Bergeron Coming Off Career Season Bergeron is coming off a terrific 2015-16 season for the Bruins that saw him tally a career-high 32 goals in 80 games. His 68 points were also his highest total since putting up 70 in 2006-07, but that came during a far more wide-open era of hockey than what's currently being played in the NHL.

The 31-year-old veteran has also remained mostly durable throughout his career. He's played in at least 80 games in three straight years, and the last time he missed more than 10 games in a season came all the way back in 2008-09.
