Kucherov spent a little over a minute on the ice in Game 5 on Saturday night before he left and never returned. Below, you can see the sequence of events directly before his departure:
Details remain scarce regarding the type of injury the 21-year-old suffered and how serious the issue is. Lightning head coach Jon Cooper didn't offer up much after the game, per Sports Illustrated:
As part of Tampa Bay's "Triplets" line, Kucherov has had a major impact on his team during the postseason. The timing couldn't be much worse for him to go down with an injury.
The chances the Lightning beat the Chicago Blackhawks inside the United Center in a Stanley Cup-clinching game border on improbable if Kucherov is unable to go for Game 6.
