NHL Week 6: Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals Fantasy Edition

This week’s edition is littered with Washington Capitals players due to the teams current torrid fantasy pace. It seems the team can do no wrong. Everyone expected to excel has done just that. They are even performing above and beyond expectations at the moment.

The team has dominated every position of this edition except for goaltender. All four of these players ranked among the top of their respective positions. They were an easy pick for fantasy owners to make during their draft, which should provide owners with a gigantic smile, as these players are contributing in multiple fantasy categories.

 

Center

Nicklas Backstrom, Washington Capitals

Backstrom has dominated in the past seven days.

He has a whopping 8 assists and is plus-eight plus/minus.

He may not have a goal, but when a player is dominating two categories like that, it doesn’t matter.

Backstrom is delivering as a top pick.

 

Left Wing

Alexander Ovechkin, Washington Capitals

The Capitals have been on fire this week and Ovechkin is leading the way.
