NHL Trade Rumours: The Leafs, Oilers, Sharks and Kings

Dean Millard from Team 1260 reported that the Los Angeles Kings are trying to acquire Jarome Iginla. It was said they were offering a package that included Brayden Schenn to entice the Flames to deal their franchise forward. Bob McKenzie tweeted that this trade rumour is probably not true.

I agree with Bob, there is no way on Earth the Kings offer Brayden Schenn as part of a trade package for Jarome Iginla. If that had happened, Darryl Sutter would have accepted immediately.

Furthermore, Iginla has a NMC and the management has already said they are not going to ask him to waive it. Although, they said that he may eventually be dealt just like Dion Phaneuf last year. However, there is no way Dean Lombardi offered Brayden Schenn.

Now we get to the main trade rumour.

Hockeybuzz reported that the Toronto Maple Leafs and San Jose Sharks are discussing a trade that would definitely shake up both teams. The Leafs would send a prospect (don't know who) and Francois Beauchemin for Devin Setoguchi and a draft pick (a third-round pick according to two sources or a seventh-round pick according to one source).
