The Calgary Sun/Calgary Herald have reported that the Flames are not going to trade Jarome Iginla and they have informed him of the fact.

Interesting. Personally, I think he should have informed them of the fact as he has a NMC, which means they cannot move him without his permission. Also with his cap hit of $7 million, how many teams would actually want him for the next several years?

Sam Carchidi of Philly.com suggests the Flyers re-acquired defenceman Danny Syvret for depth on the blue line so they can trade away a high priced defenceman.

This could make sense, as they need to create cap space to re-sign some of their other forwards like Daniel Carcillo. However, as they made it to the finals on the strength of their defense, I would not recommend dealing one away unless the deal is unbelievably in their favour.

Tom Gulitti of Northjersey.com reports that all options are on the table for Lou Lamoriello, such as making a trade or firing the head coach. He better find a way to turn around the team fast, or else all hope will be lost for them.
