The NHL trade deadline is approaching fast (April 3 at 3 p.m. ET), and the rumors flying about the biggest names in the sport have NHL fans ecstatic about what promises to be a tense few weeks.

Huge stars like Ryan Miller, Jarome Iginla and more are rumored to be on the trading block, but whether or not the teams can find a partner to make a deal will depict just how wild the 2013 deadline will get.

The Buffalo Sabres continue to fall further and further out of contention (currently 13th in the Eastern Conference with just 23 points), and it may be time for the franchise to consider making a blockbuster trade.

According to Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet, the Sabres are considering a move that would send veteran goaltender Ryan Miller and his $6.25 million contract out of town.

It won't be easy, though, as Miller has a no-trade clause—Buffalo could still deal the veteran goalie, but Miller has the right to name eight teams he will not accept a trade to—and his large contract will have cap-strapped teams bowing out of the hunt.
