The April 3 NHL trade deadline is quickly approaching, and many teams are looking to make a move to help them for the remainder of the year.

While the Pittsburgh Penguins already made the biggest transaction of the season by trading for Jarome Iginla of the Calgary Flames, there are still plenty of big names available. 

Of course, that move put the pressure on other teams as they look to keep pace with the club with the best record in the league. 

Here is the latest buzz surrounding the NHL trade deadline.

 

Derek Roy, Dallas Stars



The Dallas Stars are out of the playoffs and are possibly looking to trade away some players that are set to be free agents.

While the team is looking to re-sign Jaromir Jagr, Derek Roy could be moved as a rental (via NESN). He has reportedly received interest from the Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins and Anaheim Ducks.

Roy is one of the better passers available, tied for the team lead with 16 assists on the year. All of the teams looking into this trade have solid offenses, but the center has the ability to make them even better.
