Flames GM Jay Feaster is looking to acquire a depth defenseman and a top-nine forward to add to his roster before the deadline passes, reports the Calgary Sun.
Feaster isn't looking to pay a large sum for a rental player, and isn't expected to give up high draft picks for a short-term fix.
The Flames are believed to be interested in both Marty Reasoner and Bryan McCabe from the Florida Panthers.
"If there's an opportunity we think is too good to pass up, we'll do it. If I come out here with all of you Monday afternoon and say we didn't make a move, that's going to be alright, too, as far as I'm concerned," GM Feaster told the Calgary Sun.
