The New York Rangers have a well-documented interest in Rick Nash that dates back a few months, but at this point, it appears that the Rangers are weighing their options.

NYR still very interested in Rick Nash, but, they're not willing to wait forever. Currently exploring other options as well. Someone blink.

Are the Rangers really moving on from Rick Nash? It is possible but this could also be Glen Sather's way of turning the screws on Columbus. This could be a tactical move on the part of Sather.

The Rangers' roster has already been upgraded offensively since the beginning of last season, when you factor in the addition of Chris Kreider but the team wants to do more because putting all the pressure on a young rookie is not something the Rangers want to do.

Scott Howson obviously wants to make the best deal possible for Rick Nash, but his asking price has been too high for all teams involved. The Rangers have a bevy of assets that would help Columbus now and in the long run, but Howson ultimately wants more than what teams are currently offering.
