NHL Rumours September 30: Bryce Salvador Injured and More

Mark Everson of the New York Post reports that Bryce Salvador underwent inner ear testing after being knocked out of a preseason game. Lou Lamoriello does not expect him out for long so no chance he hits the LTIR.

Adrian Dater of the Denver Post reports that Salvadore could be out with an ear infection (best case scenario) to possibly a concussion (worst case scenario).

This may completely ruin any chance the Devils may have had of trading him to get under the salary cap. This means they will be forced to deal a different player, possibly a forward. Of course if he has a concussion they can place him on LTIR and get under the cap.

James Murphy of ESPN reports that Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs does not want to but may soon be forced to allow Michael Ryder to be demoted to clear the cap hit off the books.

At this point I really see no other option for the Bruins as Thomas cannot be dealt or demoted without his consent.
