NHL Rumors: Latest Buzz on Martin Brodeur and Other Free Agents

Who wants a 42-year-old future Hall of Fame goalie? 

It appears there's a growing line of suitors for Martin Brodeur. Per Louis Jean of TVA Sports, the former New Jersey Devils legend has drawn interest from four teams.



ESPN's Pierre LeBrun reported that Brodeur's camp has actually spoken to the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Pittsburgh Penguins.



Of all the mentioned teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs would seemingly need Brodeur the most. Even if he was added simply to supply depth, the Leafs are the best fit.

James Reimer is a restricted free agent, and starter Jonathan Bernier was less than spectacular last season. If Brodeur is looking for a spot where he can contribute the most, it's Toronto.
