NHL Rumors: Boston Bruins Interested in Bill Guerin

Reports from NESN have stated that the Boston Bruins have significant interest in veteran winger Bill Guerin.

It has been reported that only two teams are potential landing spots for Guerin are Boston and Pittsburgh.

Guerin, a Worcester, MA native, is a play-making winger, and would look good in a B's uniform again. Guerin had an earlier stint with Boston from 2000-02, in which his scored a career-high 41 goals in his second season with the Bruins.

Although Guerin is 39, he can still produce. Last season he put up 21 goals with Pittsburgh while playing in 78 games. It appears that Guerin's age hasn't "tolled" on him quite yet, so health shouldn't be an issue.

I believe that Boston is already a deep playoff team. But, with the potential addition of Guerin and the recent additions of Tyler Seguin and Nate Horton, I can strongly estimate the Bruins to be a top-three team in the Eastern Conference.
