NHL Playoffs Round 1: Bad Blood Between New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers

An old rivalry ignited on the ice on Tuesday night between the second-place New Jersey Devils and the seventh-place Philadelphia Flyers in the opening round of the playoffs at the rock.

These two teams had heated playoff contests in the past. There is still a bad taste in Flyer fans' mouths from the 2000 Eastern Conference championship when the Flyers, carrying a 3-1 lead into Game 6 and welcoming the return of star player Eric Lindros, saw him quickly depart back to the DL at the hands of Devils Hall of Fame defenseman Scott Stevens.

Then went on to win the Stanley cup. A few years later the Devils were sent packing early by the way of the flyers.
