NHL Playoffs 2016: Updated Stanley Cup Outlook Before Conference Finals

After what we have seen to this point in the NHL playoffs, it's hard to wait for the next round.

One more game stands in the way of the start of the conference finals. The San Jose Sharks and Nashville Predators will battle in Game 7 on Thursday for the right to take on the St. Louis Blues, who earned their own Game 7 victory over the Dallas Stars on Wednesday.

On the other side of the bracket, the Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins had a little bit of an easier time, escaping with wins in five and six games respectively. Of course, both squads needed some overtime luck to get to this point.

Although the remaining teams had vastly different seasons, they all have a chance to bring home the Stanley Cup following what should be an entertaining few rounds. Here is a look at odds for the those still in the hunt to win it all.



The Lightning were a popular pick to lose early this postseason despite reaching the Stanley Cup Final a year ago. Injuries to Steven Stamkos and others meant onlookers believed they would be unable to compete in the first few rounds of the postseason.
