The feeling-out process is over, and the eight teams playing in Tuesday night's NHL playoff games have a good, solid hatred that has either started to bubble up or has already reached a full boil.
Three of the teams that play Tuesday night could find themselves in a 3-1 hole by the end of the night. That means they would just be one loss away from booking tee times and starting their summertime activities.
The Nashville Predators, Washington Capitals and Vancouver Canucks hope to avoid that kind of fate by winning the fourth games of their respective series. The Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Lightning have not progressed that far as they meet in Game 3 in Hockey Town with the series tied at one game apiece.
