The New York Rangers got off to a slow start in a pitoval Game 3, but emerged as 3-0 winners after three third-period goals and took a commanding 2-1 series lead.

Dan Girardi scored with a wrist shot from the point to give the Rangers a lead they would never relinquish. Ryan Callahan and rookie Chris Kreider also added goals for the Rangers, who got a 36-save effort from Henrik Lundqvist.
